For more than 20 years I have worked in the coloured gemstone and jewellery trade, most of that time in Greater China – the world's most demanding market.
I have assessed thousands of stones, built lasting relationships with suppliers on four continents and guided clients through a market that is anything but transparent.
When I returned to Germany, I founded Noble Facets in Idar-Oberstein, the historic heart of European gem cutting. It was a deliberate choice: for more than 500 years this region has set the standard for precision and quality, and that heritage shapes how I work.
I bring two perspectives to every mandate: the trained eye of a gemmologist and the judgement of an entrepreneur who knows markets, margins and negotiations. My advice is objective and free of inventory conflicts. And I share what I know, so that my clients can make confident decisions of their own.
